Supermarket at Tabard Square

Hi,

Does anyone know which supermarket has been selected for the Tabard Square site ?

The last that anyone reported on it here was in July:

one of the agents selling the flats in there told me at the start of September it would be a Tesco

I heard from the sales people at Tabard Sq that it was going to be either Tesco or Waitrose....seems like nobody really knows! Either way, should give us all plenty of options.

I emailed Waitrose the other day to ask if they have any plans for an SE1 store and they told me that they don't. Perhaps that makes Tesco the likely suspect?

tesco have got the bermondsey square site so would not surprise me

i heard it was Sainsbury's?

Someone who should know, ie a competitor, said it was going to Tesco.

Another local Tesco for me to avoid

Excuse me if this has already been raised, but there's a new sort of supermarket thing on TBR, but not a store I've heard of.
