Can someone out there please give me some information as to the relevance of the four pineapple/acorn looking thingys on the pillars situated on both ends of lambeth bridge smaller versions of whatever they are appear on the lamps..someone has informed me they have something to do with citrus fruits bieng docked there in the early 19th centuary ??? i'd love to know what they represent and who placed them there...
