I do not have a car. Most of my friends live in the country or definitely outside of this area, so they all drive and will only visit on a Saturday or Sunday because it is the only time they can park near my flat. I feel inner city isolation coming on rapidly.

I agree with Chavender regarding inner city isolation. I cannot have friends or family come to visit during the week because of the parking situation. I had a friend from France come to stay for a week recently and it was an absolute nightmare trying to find somewhere for her to park. We cannot park a car outside our home on a single yellow in the evening/night anyway because the some of lorry's from the Borough Market just rip off the wing mirrors, smash back lights and bumpers and gash the sides of vehicles - one night recently a neighbour had his car wrecked by one of those lorry's, it had gouged along the side so deeply you could see into the boot! Poor bloke.
