GOOD NEWS FOR BANKSIDE RESIDENTS AND VISITORS

The planned development by London Town plc which would have greatly diminished the entrance to Tate Modern and ruined the SE1 views of the Thames and St Pauls has been rejected entirely, the developers having withdrawn their application.

Hopefully this will enable a proper review of the best way to use this sensitive and important site to benefit the people who live and work in the area, as well as the millions of people who visit the Tate and other attractions nearby.

There should be an appropriate development on this site, more in scale with the immediate environment, and something which will benefit everyone, not just the directors and shareholders of London Town plc.

Did you get a letter from Southwark Council? Were you one of the people who officially objected to the plans?
