Andrew Brown - Bermondsey Street

Following on from my earlier messages, I just want to let everyone know that I was called yesterday by Andrew Brown personally who was incredibly understanding and was clearly very concerned about the recent experience I had at his salon, and not only that but has offered me a complimentary haircut/blow dry/colour with himself.
By that one call and kind offer, he has gone a long way in restoring my faith in his salon!
Just thought I would share this!

Norahbattie,(very apt me thinks) whilst I agree everyone has the right to have a voice, I think yours needs gagging. If you were unhappy then you should have said so, it seems me that you were trying to plug hair express and as for having to tie your so called hair up every day, did you not think of washing it, as you previously stated you wanted a style to wash and go. It sounds to me like you are one of those customers who wants one thing only to realise that you made a mistake and then blame someone else for your .......ups.

as a hairdresser of 20 years i agree as a client you deserve a coffee just for getting past the receptionist... you deserve a good shampoo a wicked head massage and a bit of chat a good laugh and to know that you can recomend any family or friends to any stylist in the the salon it should be-chair#i mum-chair #2 daughter chair #3hubby or grandad with bubba on one lap or another and the teen should be able to walk in by his/her own see a friendly face and get a wave, appt or at least a laugh when they walk in you should be able to rely on juniors but we as hairdressers SHOULD know juniors are the most important part of the salon they are our prodigy for the future of hairdressing i only know six hairdressers that can put hair up and i mean really put it up proper not just make it last 2min i mean put it up and your new hubby is so fustrated with your up do it actually gets on his nerves or when you let it down you could walk down a red carpet and still think....OMG i am the dogs B.....ks cheers sami xx

i went to andrew brown a few weeks ago to try somewhere new and it was close to work. it was ok price ok but no refreshment offered and quite unconfortable atmoshphere but cute dogs.. i normally use village way hairdressers and have been for the last 12 years and the atmosphere s lovely. girls are nice and friendly ...couple of magazines drinks outside back area for the smokers. very laid back but very proffesional- forest hill and lordship lane dulwich ....try it!

I went here recently and had an awful haircut. Ends cut flat, no definition/blending between front and side. A fifteen minute hack job essentially. I'm sorry, but it was poor.

But was the coffee any good?
...if you press it, they will come.

If it's anything like the cut, it's probably best avoided.
Seriously, someone at worked asked me if i had cut my own hair...

I recommend Mr Topper's on Tottenham court road and dream of the day when they open one in SE1.Any shop that uses a frog with a top hat as its logo is on to a winner
