Anyone know a good place to buy fresh bread on Sunday morning ? I think that Flour Power have a stand at the Peckham Farmer's Mkt but I wonder if there's anywhere in SE1.

Ticino (down B St). Don't know if they'll sell you any.

Maybe you could sell a kidney and get fresh bread from the Pont de la Tour shop at Shad Thames on Sunday. I assume they must make it for the restaurant, and if they're doing that then I imagine they might make some for the shop as well.

...if you press it, they will come.

Another possibility
Buy a loaf on Saturday

On SUnday - run under cold tap for 1 second
Put in oven pre-heated to about 175 for 10 to 20 mins depending on size of loaf

result
warm crusty loaf

Sue
(PS and I never ever put bread in the fridge.... kills it dead)

I'll have to remember that - and the other suggestions. In the end I went to Peckham Farmer's Market to the Flour Power stand. Thanks everyone for their input.

You could try Le Pain Quotodien - which is an expensive but good (belgian?) bakery chain on the south bank to the right of the festival hall or Konditor & Cook on the coner of Roupell St and cornwall st(I think) - expensive as well - their quiches are great and raspberry and coconut slices yummy.
No connection blah blah...

Konditoor and Cook are closed on Sundays. At least they always are closed when I walk past (usually mid-afternoon).
