i have a marketing theory.. the more euphemistic (eg anything with 'sunny' or 'happy') the food brand name - the more theres factory farming (and therefore less flavour) involved

Doesnt look like Driscoll House will be part of Open House London which is a shame...would have liked to have a look around before it gets redeveloped!

what a shame Open House Londond seems to on the same day for so many beautiful places i want to visit..i used to work in the Hop exchange...wonder if the old lifts are still there?

I had never heard of Driscoll House before yesterday when I bought a beautiful old Victorian pine table from a guy in Banbury - he told me he got it from an auction at Driscoll House so I thought I would try and find a bit more about it and came across this forum - sad to hear about the death of Mr Driscoll but great to hear that Driscoll House is now listed - every time we sit down for a meal at the table I will think of the many hotel guests that will have eaten off it...
