Any news on whether this has been averted, or is it definitely on? If so, what time does it start?

This sucks beyond belief... I'm starting a new job tomorrow as well.

Timing couldn't be worse for me.

I understand that they plan to start the strike at 6pm tomorrow.

Hopefully by then they'll have resolved the issues.

So far it's on. Till THURSDAY. Gosh, what a bummer.

I was surprised at first when this thread didn't attract more ire. Because, after all, in addition to this week's 72-hour strike, there is an identical one proposed for next week. As far as I understand, the issue is that workers want their job security guaranteed in the wake of the collapse of Metronet. They have received many of the assurances they require, but their jobs can't actually be guaranteed, so their grievance remains, and once again millions of people have their days completely disrupted for reasons utterly beyond their control.

Does anyone know if any planned strikes will affect the DLR as well?

Thanks

Metronet are not involved in the DLR, so I wouldn't have thought so.
