"it is no coincidence that Livingstone starts to pipe up just as Southwark are beginning to receive offers is it?"
hmm you could also read as this "its no coincidence Southwark pipe up with offers for the site when Livingstone decides to do something about it"
Lefts face it Southwark has had this site for years & years & done nothing with it. In the meantime the Southbank has flourished in the last ten years especially in culturally & the arts sectors yet Southwark could come up with nothing.

Ken Livingston may as well stand there and say, I'm in the pocket of Berkeley Homes
And there is no point in saying there are no alternatives ,
there are the hill for example

Well said, the Quill, I couldnt agree more. This cow towing to B.H. is nothing short of a disgrace. How come no one is publicly blasting this outright manipulation of a rich developer who is pretty well taking over every site in London. And how Ken isnt ashamed to be so blatantly backing BH beggars belief. However, no doubt about it, Southwark has been nothing short of pathetic on this matter. Rise up, and condemn them. Loudly.

The Quill was absolutely right about the new homes, and what we do and DON'T want on this sensitive site. Well said!

As the Bajing Olimpics and the hand over to London aproches the reality that London has to do something exceptional will win the day.
And the hill is the most exceptional proposal.
