He has an appointment today with a lady who is in charge of his department, at what level I am not sure....since the main tormentor has been back, he has humiliated the boy on the bus, while at work in front of his colleagues has told the boy to...
'go to bed at nine so he can work hard the next day' all designed to belittle the boy. And thats just the few things I can remember being told! Told a new agency employee that he can tell the boy what to do.....
I'm a pacifist, but even I feel like going down and giving this bullying b****d a really good pasting. Still by the sound of it women and children are probably his mark! what pyschopathic scumbags exist in the workplace today.....I don't know.... lets see what happens!

Jai, I don't know whether to laugh or cry....his Mum was under the opinion that this visit was to help the boy...turns out that the visit was primarily to support......the bully!....and a Union Rep to boot.
The boy was told that he was a good chap, did not mean what he said etc., the boy said well he swears at me, her response was to say that she swears at the men she supervises! I'll find out more when I get home..
The general approach seems to be the perpetrator is a 'good sort' and will be continuing to act the same way. So I think now legal action will be a possibilty, how can Southwark Council let this happen? perhaps he should have joined the vast amount of people in this world who go and sign on as unemployed, thinking the world owes them a living...
I did wonder if the bully was trying to goad him into some sort of violent response , therefore the boy could be instantly dismissed , well if that does happen , I hope a well earned kick under the trouser zip area occurs!

time to look into getting a lawyer involved... make notes of everything, including what the Union Rep has said. Take them all to court !

Jan,
I am so sorry to hear about what is happening to your friend's son. This website has lots if useful information on bullying in the workplace, and may offer some useful advice. I, too, have suffered bullying at work, and found the page I am posting here (Am I being bullied?) and the page on the difference between bullying and management very helpful - I hope you do too.

Hi Jo-Jo,
It's as I suspected - collusion between the Union and the perpetrators goes on all over the workplace!
The boy took all the print off comments from here to show the union 'lady' and she kept them, she also took a letter from him stating that he would be getting a cheque for the £815.00 taken from his pay in 'error', heaven knows why she should have the authority to take that? His mother is going this morning to try and get it back.
My youngest daughter worked for a company , then moved to a different branch, met not just one but TWO pyschopathic bullies...I could go on at length but this is not the forum for it Jo-Jo, but if we ever get the opportunity to meet up we could compare notes on the *********s! :-)
The thing is that this young boy is not going to have it easy should anything happen to his mum and unlike my daughter may not have the chance to swap jobs.

Jan this is disgusting.
If any of us here can help in any way. Maybe the lad would like someone to accompany him when dealing with these morons and take some notes etc? as I'm guessing it's too stressful for his mum.
I would be happy to make some time to go down there if you want and I'm sure many on here would too.
An electrician working on a job we have is having the same problem, his kid is being bullied and has tried to take an overdose a couple of times and he's aged 11! The headmistress has refused to believe the kid is being bullied and his mum and dad have to take it in turns to stay up and watch him at night.

Biscuit Boy - thank you.I'll phone his mum straight away - under these circumstances I would normally have the time off from work myself, but as I am only a contractor , will not get paid for time off.
( my husband went into a nursing home recently and we have to pay just under half the fees!)
and it's scandalous about the little boy..those poor parents....
Why are the people in these position reluctant to admit that their staff are bullies, and the schools unwilling to accept the responsibility for their pupils. Whats the term mean ' in loco parentis'
that they will protect the pupils as a parent? times like this i wish i ws educated!
