Does anyone know if the congestion charge is going to be waived between Christmas and new year, I can't see anything on the TFL site that would indicate it is. Will need to get hold of visitor's parking permit for our hire car if not.

It was waived last year right through from Christmas Day to January 2. I imagine it's the same this year.

confirms CC waived Christmas-New Year. I think it is a standard part of the 'charging days'
