I saw CSS @ The Coronet
before Christmas and really regretted surrendering my coat as the venue was freezing, with Security - all wearing nice warm florescent jackets - keeping the fire exits wide open all night. Adding insult to injury, the coat room was a disaster area at the end of the night and the queue at least 45 minutes long. Also, the place was absolutely filthy, its floor so tacky one stuck to it. It's a shame because the Coronet has great potential as a live venue with a bit of character, but the management is appalling.
(FYI: the site of the original Bill Haley seat slashing, Rock-Around-The-Clock riots was at the other Coronet, a more modern cinema which used to be directly opposite, across New Kent Road
