Red Cow Pub demolition - New build!

I tried to not get The Old Red Cow knocked down feeling it should have come into the conservation area and be renovated however I was firmly rebuffed.

I could not believe the plans put on the building site as I walked by the other day. It looks like a bad poly board model and I fear when up It will look no better.

I'm no Ludite - I love good modern architecture.
But is this really the best Bermondsey deserves?

Plans are on the Southwark planning website. IMO they should stay there... but no doubt they will be turned into reality.

Shame. The pub would have converted nicely.
