Do you believe in Nick Stanton
Neil Thursday 3 April 2008 4.30pm
Actually Nick Stanton has posted to this very forum in the past. What further proof of his existence could we need? God, on the other hand, has not yet posted or attended a social (that I know of) ;-).

Neil: I don't know you from Adam - or Eve. You similarly do not know Mapmaker from Adam - or Eve. We cannot know whether Nick Stanton posted as himself, or whether somebody else posted on his behalf.
I think.
I think.

I certainly met someone claiming to be Nick Stanton three years ago:

The building was for many years the Yorkshire Grey pub. Joint owner Clive Watson says that he and his colleagues chose the new name Garrison as it suggests ‘a safe place' and is probably unique as a pub name.
Last month The Garrison was the venue for an unofficial get-together of regular contributors to the forum on our www.London-SE1.co.uk website. Local councillor and Southwark Council leader Nick Stanton also came along.

As I said, yesterday I had a long email exchange with NS. But I DID point out that he should be reading this Forum and told him he should be doing more to a)justify his salary and b)prove that his is fit for purpose.

I am no Lib Dem voter myself but happy to read today that Stanton has managed to send Berkeley Homes back to the drawing board with the Potters Fields scheme. Those bendy cylindrical towers were awful.
It has dragged on of course, but it takes a lot of time and money to engage in the planning process when dealing with to one of the UK's largest developers and Ken.
The race to deliver housing everywhere shouldn't be at the expense of architectural quality. Richard Rogers recently on the Thames Gateway - "the slums of tomorrow" - discuss.... (sorry if I am going off-thread)

So. God hasn't been to a social. Nor has James. James has proven his omniscience on several occasions. And (you'll find out if you ever try to do anything naughty on the forums) he is demonstrably omnipresent.
Ergo....
...James doesn't exist.
(Oh. I think I got that wrong. Back to Logic classes for me)
...if you press it, they will come.
