There's an exhibition in Jubilee Gardens later in the week (Wed-Sun).
We'll have a news item/feature on this site during the week; we also ran a piece when the idea was floated 4 years ago.

I think it would be great to see its return - and I note "City Hall" has been touted as a possible location (though not quite sure where at City Hall!?), though it might be a fitting addition to a larger Potters Fields Park - Tony Pidgely and Southwark Council please take note!
My bet however is that given the size and concerns about crowding out of ther buildings along the Southbank, its most likely to end up in Stratford at the Olympic Park.

Why on earth would they want to put it anywhere other than SE1. Ridiculous.

Indeed Mapmaker - though they did put the Olympics............ouside of SE1. Deluded fools all!

I've just trudged round Jubilee Gardens in the rain and there is no sign of the advertised exhibition.

Shame they didn't put them in Paris.

strangely (against my normal behavioural pattern) I feel (on this occasion only) - I have to agree with you oh Mappy One - let's offload the Olympics to Paris now during our recession

now now - we are not yet in a recession yet - we have not yet had the 2nd successive qtr of negative growth.....and i think when the olympics finally gets here, we will forget the £9.3 billion that it costs !
the skylon looks fab - maybe the high cost of the food in the restaurant of the same name can pay for it !

well the recession will happen, and the current £10 billion will turn into £15 billion, maybe more, - and that cash would go a long way to sorting out our recession mess - as well as lowering our council taxes for the next 20 years, etc
