Any thoughts on best place for a Sunday roast? Used to be a fan of the Southwark Tavern but think the roasts have gone a bit down hill.

Any other suggestions? Hear some places on Bermondsey Street are meant to be quite good.

The last time i tried a sunday roast locally was at the horseshoe on melior st around july. Waited over an hour and when it eventually turned up it was a chunk of beef with really buttery potatoes and 3 green beans, so 1 to avoid. The pommlers is cheap but it's not fantastic food, roast and a drink around 7.

Market Porter is quite good. The Southwark Tavern has really gone downhill. Don't even think of going to the National Trust place that is so bad (and expensive) that its name has slipped my mind.
