So Friends of the Earth promote increased traffic congestion and so increased carbon emissions.

Critcal Mass is the expresison of many individual cyclists writ large; effectively 'we don't care what impact we have on others'.

Critical Mass is a plague in San Francisco. There have been quite a few altercations in recent years. E.g., one cyclist claimed a soccer mom in a van with children "touched" his bike while trying to edge through an intersection, so he picked up his bike and attacked the van's windows, terrorizing the mother and children. It gets worse every month. You ain't seen nothin yet, London.
