What do you know about windows; I'm becomming obsessed. The council are replacing our windows and they want to put acoustic trickle vents on them. Not on the outside frame, not on the inside frame, but below the inside frame. It looks really cheap and awful. I'd be happy to hear from anyone who has a similar vent to find out if acoustic vents really work much better than ordinary vents.

Karen, showing my ignorance I know, what the flipping heck is an accoustic vent for? is it to prevent noise?
