Shredded an A4 letter receipt by mistake along with 4 other letters and jumbled them up in the rubbish. Took me only 40 minutes to separate the 55 strips from over 250 and Pritt stick them to an A4 sheet. Learned two lessons anyway.
1. Double check before shredding anything.
2. A strip shredder is c***. Must buy a confetti type shredder.

That's scary! I've often wondered what was to stop someone reassembling and now you've answered- nothing.

Yes - always buy a cross shredder if you really want to give the bad guys (or yourself) a hard time!

Why don't you just burn the stuff? It's a clever crook who can put that back together.

If anyone is thinking of buying a small shredder, and you've got an 'Aldi' store near you, I saw today that as from this Sunday they will have some in store at
8-99. Sounds a good deal. I bought one about ten years ago and paid 15.

Just took a look at that shredder chalkey and it's a strip one, too easy to put back together, although I admit no-one is likely to target my rubbish to make their fortune.

If you're going to shred, might as well do the job properly and get a cross cut/confetti type model.
