I made a nesting box this morning and attached it to the rose trellis in the back garden. Wishing to help Mother Nature along a little, I placed some dried grass and twigs in the bottom so the new 'family' to move straight in to their furnished accommodation. I've spent the last ten minutes watching sparrows fly up to the box, remove bits of the twigs and grass and fly off. No doubt to use for the building of their nests.
I had to smile. You just can't help some people.
