Just been reading about "boil in the bog" rice on another thread and am reminded of one or two amusing entries on local take-away menus that have come through my door. My favourite is from Simply Indian's rather good menu which points out that their Khadi Gosht is; ".......a must for all lamb enthusiasts". My brother tells me that he has seen some kind of chicken dish that is "....stuffed all the way from Bombay".

Any more?

The place on the corner of Harper Rd and Borough used to offer "Tandoori Trowt" and I liked a local pizza delivery menu that featured "real chicken" in a lot of its recipes.

THat reminds me of a fizzy pop drink in India that declares in it's advertising that it contains "no natural ingrediEnts!"

I remember seeing Corn Flaks on a menu in India. A much better description than anything us Westerners have come up with..
