He is potty! Obviously trying for a coup. Jeremy Corbyn was elected it appears overwhelmingly. This is not the time for more fighting surely. In memory of his pater Tony he really should be a good boy and pop back in his box. Grounded Hilary. Behave! I also like John Mcdonnell.. Either of them seems to really represent the original Labour movements aims. Keir Hardie etc and this is sort of Lab. parliamentary and wider party I would personally recognizable to their roots. The Conservatives also must revert to their roots.. And currently Ukip and others are in the frame so all disunity must stop

the problem is that at least half of Labour are left overs from "new Labour", so they're right wing, money grabbing Blairites rather than "real" Labour. They see Corbyn as a threat and are desperate to get rid of him. They should not only resign from the shadow cabinet but reisgn from the labour party too as they represent the real labour policies on no way at all.

I know a couple of labour party members who think Corbyn is unelectable, and expect an election to be called imminently. Personally I'd give jezza a chance but what the rest of the country think I'm not so sure

Are we talking about the same Neil Kinnock who trashed the same Tony Benn (amongst all sections of the electoral college) when challenged for the leadership in 1988? In what mythical past was the Labour party ever controlled by the then Benn-ite wing (or Militant or any other equivalent for that matter)?

James Keir Hardie was proper cloth cap Socialist. There were Christian association to via The Methodists. Despite right wing n centrist infiltration 20s 30s and later of which Benn was one but as he admitted opined later wished he had seen the light sooner. The Attlee government was most radical with NHS creation and family welfare at the top of the true Labour party movement principles.. remember those? as well as tradition.

Neil Kinnock Wales valley lad... Judas..
following in Nye Bevan footsteps.
Spoke left and acted right as so who so many see the attraction of filthy lucre. As Tony Benn had plenty of worldly wealth he could afford to be principled but Kinnock was from first to last a bully. I have seen him in action against senior citizens at conference in the eighties etc and there is no comparison. Benn was true gentleman and never resorted to. physical aggression

The electoral college was being trialled and eventually morphed into today's fairer system with. Corbyn etc. Benn was the darling of the left and a prince among politicians. We are sorely missing his sort today

Well you say that but when push came to shove the votes heavily favoured Kinnock over Benn. You may well prefer Benn's politics but it's ahistorical to claim they have been in the ascendency in the Labour Party in the recent past.

Kinnock scored because pretended to be a friends of disadvantaged etc but could not practically nor did he have serous intention he climbed the greasy pole and ladder then kicked it away Blair of course never mentioned the word socialism and courted by the establishment tho now possibly suffering to a degree what goes around comes around
