is it just me or does anyone else miss the daily sight of nuns?

I've never seen nuns daily so I can't miss them - I've always found them a little sinister to be honest

...if you press it, they will come.

I was taught by nuns and I can say it is something I really do not miss. This was in the days before teachers were not allowed to hit pupils and I've never seen anybody as vicious as a nun. Think of that scene in the Blues Brothers and you are not far wrong.

I must say, I've always found them a little un-nerving, and watching them on that great religious documentary, "Father Ted," only compounded my feelings.

A man goes into a bar and says,
"How tall are penguins?"
The Barman says,
"I dunno, 3 feet maybe, why?"
"Damn, I've just ran over a nun."

Ignorance is bliss

Lots of people have experienced extreme cruelty at the hands of the nuns in the past......especially in educational facilties....
hopefully the harsh extremism meted out by the 'black witches' has long since passed.- .thats not my definintion by the way.!

I remember sitting in the park with my 85 year old grandmother and a group of nuns passed by. She sat there and stared at them and then said: 'must be awful to die so curious'
