Are artists the new used car salesmen?

There is an argument that artists only reflect the society they live in. So if you believe that we live in a spiritually and intellectually bankrupt, decadent society, that would appear to in terminal moral decline, then the kind of art on offer at last month's show was very pertinent, and perfectly represented the times we live in.

And what we lack is good artisanal craftsmanship. Like a fine well crafted cider.
