Hi Guys

Been up here over 6 months now and loving it! Plenty of work and am an hour's drive from Loch Lomond and 2 hours from the Highlands. So life is good.

How are things in SE1?

I'm looking forward to a pre-Christmas visit.

I miss my visits to the Tate Members room - all those little darlings with their middle aged parents - it's quite the opposite here in Glasgow - you can buy birthday cards that read "Happy 13th Birthday, Mum!"
Bridal shell suits in all thir glory
Bridesmaids here hold the bride's ciggies and lighter, not her bouquet, while she signs the register!
I miss the three-wheel buggies that clog up the coffee shops

and guess what?

(God's honest truth!) I am a member of Gala Bingo!!!!!

Did I tell you guys that in Glasgow.... Burberry is the new Tartan!!

You can get burberry everything - even lap top case (haven't bought that one yet!), and you're no-one if you haven't got a burberry benefit book cover!

the cigarettle purses are popular and they even have a little pouch for the zipper lighter

push chairs that have a holder for your can of cider on the handle - you can get these converted in the event of a move to London so that they can accommodate most sizes of Lattes.

Hope you are all well in SE1 - it's Baltic freezing up here at the moment.
