A little outside SE1 but a friend is organising an 8k run and a 5k walk on Clapham Common on Saturday morning. Proceeds are going to a Bolivian environmental project.

If the weather is good it should be fun and a way to combat winter lethargy. Husband is running, and the kids, fresh from their cider making exploits, plan to walk. It would be nice to see some others.

Details are:
Meeting point. The walk will begin at 11am from the Clapham Common bandstand.
(http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=528500&y=174500&z=1&sv=528500,174500&st=4&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf) Please arrive by 10:30am and note that it takes 10mins to walk there from Clapham Common tube. There will have a coat/bag holding facility. Participants need to pay 10.

I hear that the Bolivian Ambassador plans to be there. I don't know if Ambassadors run.

Sorry we couldn't make it. Hope Mr. 2 and the kids enjoyed their run/walk. (and are now very tired so that you can have a nice peaceful weekend!)

Ivanhoe, have just clicked your link! LOL
Was thinking more along the lines that Ambassadors run when they've been caught with their hands in the cookie jar!
