I'd run with "freh-shuh-NETT", but as I suspect it comes from a Catalan rather than a Castilian place name, you can probably get away with anything you like!

Their website lets you download and play their adverts - the voiceover sounds a bit like "frezh a net" to me at least !

For those who know the IPA, it's pronounced

And for those who don't, 'fre' as in fresh, 'jeu' as in the French word, 'net' as in the thing you catch fish with.

As with many brands (Michelin, for example) it's pronunciation has been Anglicised (it has a very English approximant 'r', instead of Spanish alveolar 'r' or a French velar 'r').

We went to the winery a few years ago (and then ordered it in lots of bars for the rest of the holiday), and my (admittedly dodgy) memory puts it as having more of a "ksh" in it, like this:


{looking at what I've just written makes me think that this is just perhaps the way I pronounced it after the third bottle}
