FREIXENET......the Spanish cava, like a Spaniard would

I'd run with "freh-shuh-NETT", but as I suspect it comes from a Catalan rather than a Castilian place name, you can probably get away with anything you like!

Their website lets you download and play their adverts - the voiceover sounds a bit like "frezh a net" to me at least !

For those who know the IPA, it's pronounced
.

And for those who don't, 'fre' as in fresh, 'jeu' as in the French word, 'net' as in the thing you catch fish with.

[Edited to add ...]
As with many brands (Michelin, for example) it's pronunciation has been Anglicised (it has a very English approximant 'r', instead of Spanish alveolar 'r' or a French velar 'r').

We went to the winery a few years ago (and then ordered it in lots of bars for the rest of the holiday), and my (admittedly dodgy) memory puts it as having more of a "ksh" in it, like this:

fre-ksh-en-et

{looking at what I've just written makes me think that this is just perhaps the way I pronounced it after the third bottle}

...if you press it, they will come.
