We were watching Con Air on Sunday and they were singing "Sweet Home Alabama" on the plane "... ironic in view of the fact that the band died in a plane crash" to quote one of the characters.
Mr P & I have been racking our brains because we can't remember who sang it (& when).
Can any of our resident music buffs help?

or even Lynyrd Skynyrd - but didn't three of them survive to form some quasi-tribute band that toured for a few years into the 1990s?
