The sun has just come out so I'm off over the bridge to Eastcheap PO to post some mail.
I refuse to post anything this side of the river. Might get a couple of veg pasties and a couple
of danish apple at greggs while I'm there. Isn't life FANTASTIC

Just come in and it's still warmer outside than in.
Hot water gone now, no immersion heater
Shaving in cold water tomorrow am - deep joy :-(

Boil a kettle for shaving. But remember to add some cold water, too.

Central heating and hot water re-established!
I have to say, I'm full of praise for British Gas. I called them, they came out same day, found the problem - leak in a pipe that had dripped onto the pump electrics and shorted the system - could not fix immediately because new pipework and pump needed to be collected from supplier - said they would be back at 10 am next day. 10am this am turned up with necessary parts and 5 hours later everything back to normal. Highly recommend their 3 star cover!

Just saw on the news that British Gas have made the most astronomical profits and gas prices are soaring. If I were you I'd rub sticks together and wear plenty of goose grease under your goatskin shirt.

>>goose grease

Better applied in than out. Makes SUPERB roast potatoes. Excellent on toast with jam. In mash. For general frying & cooking anything, really.
