There's an article in todays ES by Matthew Norman which is quite funny.
I don't suppose Tim will be too upset as he's financially secure for life.
Here's the last 2 paragraphs.
An era is comimg swiftly to a close. Soon Henman Hill will
be renamed Murray Mound, the crazed spinsters will take their
carnal fantasies back to their rural villages and the Henman
parents will remove their long emotionless faces from the
players' box for the last time.
As he heads towards the oblivion of a career of punditry on
Sky Sports, we wish Tim Henman well and thank him for the
memories. If, on the other hand he survives into the second
week, please remember that this article was specifically
intended to goad him into raising his game and deserves much
of the credit for this marvellous renaissance.
oh I do like my 2 weeks of rain (well maybe only one week this year) yelling come on Timmy at the TV set. It is a British thing we know he won't win but he is a very nice decent chap and we like them to come out on top so we cheer them on!
bit young at 30 to be put out to pasture Agassi is 36 and still winning!
or even "paper tiger" Tim.
Maybe I'm getting old, but the last time I shouted "Come on Timmy" at my TV set was when The Famous Five was being shown (back in the days when children's TV consisted of a one hour slot before the News at 5:45)
