My Eucalyptus and Pittosporum are at least 12 feet high and in serious need of a haircut - any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Only 12 feet high? Why don't you stand on a chair and cut them yourself?

The Eucalyptus is almost as tall as the house but skinny and when it is windy it taps on next doors bedroom window. The Pittosporum is at LEAST 12 foot high and wide - half in my garden and half in the other next doors garden and I'm 5 feet tall.

Do you think the council would do it for a fee?

If I did try to attempt it myself the disposal of the branches could be a problem though.

I believe you can take garden waste to Manor Place depot (though that might be difficult if you have to take the bus!), in case you do do it yourself.
