Anyone have an idea where I may purchase tall candlesticks?

I'm after two that are around four foot tall.

Thankyou!

John Lewis have some nice wooden ones, but they're not cheap!

If you are wanting something that size, consider commissioning a potter or metal craftsperson to make something to order

Although (to my taste and this is a very personal judgment), isn't that size just a little OTT unless you are furnishing an altar at St George's Cathedral???

And who says she's NOT furnishing the altar in St.George's cathedral? Anyway, I think your candlesticks sound terrific Birdie, more like flaming torches actually. I suggest you pinch a couple of lampposts and cut them down. Or you could petrify a few SE1 ers and have them hold the candles. I'm kidding, I bet some trendy design shop has just what you want.

I'm making an altar Jackie... I shall be looking for sacrificial virgins shortly.

Don't say you weren't warned!

Most of my friends reckon that the [IMO modest and v.v. tasteful] 25cm modern silverware on my mantelpiece is too ecclesiastical for their liking!

LR - I am never wrong so it won't be an issue.
