Hmmm - the LDA et al try every trick in the book to get a commercial development in the park and local people manage to see them off. Then they come up with the idea of hiding all the shops in a replica of the Crystal Palace hoping that people will not realise that they are going ahead with the proposals to build on the park that were so unpopular in the first place.
No thanks - I'd rather keep as much of the park as possible myself.
Throwing up (I use the term advisedly) a faux Crystal Palace - which no way would even approach the scale and 'wow' of the original strikes me as being similar to the cod architectural 'marvels' of Las Vegas. As Neil said in his first Post, a way to eat into parkland for commercial gain.
