This has been my first week and I've never been so bored. I've been sitting around reading all week and not even given a case. I've got another week to go, any tips on how to make the time fly??

draw a clock onto a piece of A4 paper, fold it up into the shape of a plane, and throw it out of the sixth floor window.

alternatively buy a large origarmi book, and learn all the models.

Seriously ? Crochet always does it for me...

Of course, you might look a bit like Mme Defarge...sitting doing your knitting while the wheels of justice turn...

Pretend to be barking mad. Then they have to send you home.

The danger is that half way through next week you start on a major case, scheduled to last months....

I was called for jury service about 5 years ago. Threw it in the bin and heard no more about it.
Juries are a waste of time. Most cases go to appeal and a guilty verdict by a jury can be overturned by the appeal court without any
member of the original jury even being informed that their decision
has been overturned.

Luckily I was sent home after one case, so my two weeks' jury service was only 3 days.
