Hey all

Carol here - using Jon's log in as I don't have mine anymore.

Yes Tattie - Halifax is very temperature obsessed - 4 seasons in one day (or is that a NZ saying). Just emailed you and it came back as undeliverable - have you moved jobs?

Having a fab time here - doing lots of touristy stuff.

Hope everyone is well.

Keep in touch.

another update - 5 mins left on internet in cafe...

(must type quicker....)

now in Montreal, after a gruelling 20 hour train ride from Halifax (actually it might have been 21 as we crossed a time zone, and had to put our watches back an hour). we arrive this morning at about half 8. took the tube (Metro) to my cousins, fiance`s mom`s house, dropped of our bags, had some cereal, and straight back out to walk round MOntreal in the sun (and to find an intenet cafe - obviously).

we`ll be here in M for maybe 4 days, then a car ride back to Toronto, where my cousin lives, then we`re there for about two weeks till 8th May.

we brought the SE1 keyring with us, and have looked at it at least once to remind ourselves what SE1 looks like on a map (Thanks Julie).

`we miss you all - Carol`

`will update soon.

Jon.

lol - tres drole!

we're now safely ensconsed (sp?) at my cousins in Toronto - very nice three floor town house. Montreal was fantastic, we went up the inclined tower at the Olympic stadium.

on the way here we stopped at a shop called 'the Big Apple' where we purchased a rather large apple pie, and a pack of playing cards.

We will be downloading our photo's from our camera fairly soon, and putting them on our webshots gallery. I can't remember the exact address just now, but it's Webshots.co.uk (or it could be .com), and my username is 'Crastney' - there are pics of me, so you'll know you've got the right place. our first set of holiday pics will be up there soon.

The weather is really a lot warmer inland.

we've been to a 'sugar shack' and learnt all about maple syrup. (plus there was an all you can eat luch; as long as it was covered in maple syrup - scrfambled eggs, ham, fried potatoes, priests ears (pork scratchings), baked beans, chipolates, beets, gherkins, tomato relish, lots of coffee, and water, with a starter of pea soup, all followed by maple syrup pudding, and a brown sugar and cream pie, then pancakes, and then doughnuts (all of course with syrup), couldn't move all afternoon!

we have about two weeks in Toronto - we leave on 8th May.
.... more soon.
