To be used when chewing gum is spread in and can't just be scraped off:

Cover with washing up liquid
Pour on loads of salt
Scrub with a sponge/ cotton wool/ cloth
Repeat as necessary

And voila! It disappears.

Chewing gum is disgusting and should be outlawed. If everyone had a video of themselves chewing it they wouldnt do it any more!

Freezing works well for lumps of chewing gum. Washing up liquid and salt is good for rubbed in or ground in gum.

The gum I had mashed into my jeans the other day defintely wouldn't have come off by freezing.

I am hoping there is not much gum in NZ.

I always use some bronw paper, put it on top, then iron it for a bit and it gets stuck on the paper... no marks whatsoever, my grandmother taught me that!
