London SE1 covering South Bank, Bankside, Bermondsey, Waterloo, Elephant & Castle
Does this mean residents of The Borough have been demoted?
I have noted the Areas of SE1 link suggests:
SE1 is made up of many distinct localities;
Please note that the boundaries between these localities can be rather blurred; ask ten locals to define the boundaries of Bermondsey and you would get ten different answers!

Ha! I knew someone would comment on the choice of areas. I may 'randomise' the choice of text that appears in that space.
Ignore the 'Areas' section; it's embarrassingly badly written and out-of-date.

At the risk of sounding like a cracked record.... even though Wikipedia may include a link to this site in its Bermondsey article, SE1 only includes fashionable and happening Bermondsey Street and environs. Both the tube station and most of the area commonly known by long standing locals as Bermondsey are in SE16.
Perhaps "Bermondsey Village" could appear among the random selection?

LOL, Lang Rabbie - Bermondsey Village!
I definitely live in Bermondsey, and definitely in SE1. Sadly, the division between the SE1 and SE16 postcodes doesn't follow the parish boundaries - or indeed, IMHO, any sensible geographical boundary.

But there is a Bermondsey Village Hall so it must be a village:)

I'm sure I saw a poster for bingo at the village hall the other day

Bermondsey Village hall makes Bermonsey a village just about as much as Snowsfields is a field with snow on it.

I shouldn't be so cynical - there are actually signs of new life at BSAP:
