Ok, so if the prospect of meeting up with the great and the good of SE1 wasn't enough, we can now tempt you with the thought that you too could become the next Mr or Ms TLMJJ* (see the "good places to find a date" thread in Chatter) after she's finished with Maurits.

Singles particularly welcome, no telescopes allowed, orange optional.

The current suggestion (mine) is either 20th, 21st or 22nd April.

If you're interested - let us know your date preference. Also, any ideas for venues that we haven't yet tried / been barred from.

*this is not intended in any way to be a comment on TLMJJ herself, but is an effort to ensure that no-one feels left out !

Sadly, I won't be able to make it as I will be in Oz. But I will send a full-size cardboard cut-out of myself along, and prepare a questionnaire for prospective candidates to complete.

TLMJJ - perhaps we could conduct a kind of Blind Date vetting process on your behalf ? Or auction a date with you off to the highest bidder ? (2nd Prize - Katy, 3rd Prize - me ?)

Harriet - the vetting sounds great. Could you provide me with a photo and CV of the successful suitors on my return?

Edited to correct shockingly poor vocabulary.

Siegfried Farnon - vet for several years in Yorkshire.
Tristan Farnon - qualified vet, younger brother of above.
and James Herriot - recently qualified vet, new to Yorkshire.

or is that not the sort of vetting you had in mind? ;-)

Do I feel a matchmaking excercise coming on? is William or Harry available?

The TLMJJ has implicitly stated that she is indeed finished with me, so I'll be there on any of the dates. What about The Hartley on Tower Bridge Road?
Tuesday 6 April 2004 6.43pm

Hartley is too far south for me - Windmill good, or The Ring on the corner... I haven't been to that fancy gastro-pub yet (the Anchor) so we could go there?

Or that nice but a bit weird pub half way down Roupell Street ?

Or, my favourite pub... THE LORD CLYDE
