And the winner is The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, John le Carré.

By quite a large margin.

Also after a bit of discussion we considered doing a pub tour for a few book clubs but decided to stay at the Britannia as it keeps things simple. So next book club will be 6th June same time same place.

My copy of "Mother's Milk" by Edward St Aubyn has just arrived from amazon, so I am planning to attend the next book club meeting on Wednesday 6 June to discuss it. See you at the Britannia.

As we go alphabetically by user name, that would be Jackie R.

I will not go into details here but with regret I no longer wish to come to the book club at the Britannia. Should the venue change in the future then I will be back meanwhile I shall follow on line only.

Can we meet at Simon the Tanner pub on Long Lane? I'm very happy to change venue. Am sure we can book a table in the pub for 7.30pm on Wed 6 June. Will investigate.

I dont think it's me to choose, I only recently chose the Milkman in the Night...However I am ALWAYS ready to provide a choice since I spend all my time gobbling books. Just finished the sequel to Woolf Hall, Bring out The Bodies, Adam Thorpe's Flight and Michael Frayn's Skios and the new Peter Carey Chemistry of Tears...to mention a few.

It is true you have just chosen Jackie but that was cos you were missed last time round. So technically it is your turn again already (remember the £5 rule) after that it's Jon R

Am happy with change as long as walking distance to London Bridge station.
