The Cookies met up last night for a spanish fiesta of a dinner party - much fun - thanks to Jac and Richard for letting us host at yours and thanks for the reserves Tattie and Basil for stepping in x

Pre-dinner drink: Clos Monistrol Cava Vintage 2009

Starter:
Spanish tapas including olives, bread, cold meat and aubergine dip
Finca los principes rioja 2011

Main:
Spanish chicken with beans, tomatoes and kind of chorizo on side served with cous cous and rocket
Sencrio de Unix garnacha tinto 2011

Desert:
No added sugar data cake and vanilla icecream
Nelson sweet Agnes reisling 2010

The Winos met on Friday 26th of April and it completely slipped my mind to update the menu.

Starter:
Pancakes with lime butter and green salad

Sea bass with Thai spices, vegetable stir fry and rice

Dessert:
Profiteroles filled with lime cream and covered in chocolate chilli sauce

I think that I've assigned the right wines to the right course but corrections may be forthcoming. Thanks to all for a lovely meal

The May Winos met last Friday. It was lovely to meet 4 new faces at the dinner club and a lovely evening was had by all.

Pre-dinner, wrapped up in ponchos on the roof terrace:

- Tortilla chips & home-made salsa & guacamole

- Delicious beef & asparagus salad with anchovies & parmesan

Main
- Roll your own burritos with steak & onion or chicken & peppers filling, wild rice, black beans and various fixings

- Tasty New York style baked cheesecake with raspberry sauce
- Chateau les Sablines, Montbazillac, 2010

The June Gourmets met on a very warm Saturday night at the beginning of last week

Due to being short of 2 x guests, Julie gallantly made both Starter & Main course, as follows:

Main:
Welsh Roast Lamb, with Rosemary & Onion sauce & seasonal vegetables& dauphinoise potatoes

Chateau Suau Sauternes

Apologies to Plum, who provided the main course wines, but which I forgot to take a record of !

JonR and I hosted at Una and Mike's on Saturday night and had an amazing roof top terrace meal. Apologies I don't have the wine list to hand but lush food and wine was:
