My partner and I are SE1 residents. We are keen skiers and are looking to take a weeks skiing holiday in February half term (14th-21st). However, we are finding flights/train tickets prohibitively expensive for this period and we do not have the option to travel outside of these dates.
Therefore, we had the idea of 'buddying up' with one or two others who would be up for driving down to the French alps and hence split the cost of travel 4 ways.
I have made this journey myself (as a driver and a passenger) and am confident we could make it in approx. 12-13 hours (this journey time takes into account missing the motorway tolls and hence reducing costs)
Aside from minimising travel costs we would also take in the beautiful and varied French countryside, and hopefully make new and lasting friends.
If anyone is interested please reply. We would obviously need to meet up beforehand to discuss the finer details (over a pint!)
