And a belated thanks from me too ... I can't quite believe how exciting tuperware is ... not sure it's just the vegetables that are heavy breathers!!!

I think you've all overdosed on post modern irony.
Stop it.
Stop it.

It's true there is a kitschy ironic side to Tupperware products and parties, probably due to its historical associations with suburban life in the American 50s and the British 70s. I have heave heard of themed parties with a Desparate Housewives or Abigail's Party type of vibe. One of my colleagues ran a party for Jackie Llewellyn Bowen last week where they were all frocked up like Julianne Moore in Far From Heaven.
But underneath the camp and frippery, it is just very well designed and well-made kitchenware.
Just waiting for the last couple of orders from jac's pals who couldn't make it on Tuesday, then I will be sending off all your orders this weekend.

It was the pinny.

I want one of those camoflage pinnys - my kitchen usually looks like a battlefield.

I got my camouflage apron (it's far too butch to be a pinny) at House of Fraser, it's part of a range that includes over gloves and tea towels with the same print. They are also on eBay a bit cheaper. The black "bistro apron" I wore on Tuesday was £3.99 in Lidl on the Old Kent Road! Don't you love Lidl. But that's another thread.

Fall out, I dont think so Birdies too much fun for any of that and as for Bathy shes a hoot too especially as the evening wears on, so a bit disapointing when work gets in the way of the social life for all. Pity Plum didn't make it either as we were going to give her the gift from the SE1ers collection as ther was a few of us there but when I called her the twins were howling in the background.
Julie has details and I think was going to pop it round this week to cheer her up.
I can not believe that this thread is now 14 pages long.

Not sure I cheered her up ... as she was asking lots of questions about what comes next ... anyway see post with message from Plum in Chatter section!
As for Birdie and Bathy ... they missed a tuppertastic evening! I'm determined to get my kitchen done and host one ...

Fabian and I are of course very flattered that we have been elected to upgrade the Tupperware brand. Especially because we understand that in these modern days of civil partnership, gender role confusion and positive action, we are the target group 'par excellence'. We are now ready to negotiate the reward scheme for featuring as Party Animals.
