I shall be there with my diamante specs - sorry you can't be there, Elsita.

Hi all--will be there tonight. I have been in London 5 days now. Look forward to meeting you all. Mark M (PS. I think I placed my order earlier, didn't I?)

Yes mark, you did. We're looking forward to meeting you tonight too!

Oh Elsita my precious, so sorry, hope you feel better soon, we'll raise a glass to you. Do you think that you might be able to make the Christmas lunch at The Chop House on Thursday? It would be great to catch up with you before Christmas.

Nearly time!

...if you press it, they will come.

Starting already, are you?

Thank you Plum

Maurits may like to know that the trifle is as good as ever, and the portions are bigger.

It was nice to meet some new people. I like the idea that Laphroaig was in California a year ago reading our forum and in now living in SE1 and eating at the Royal Oak. She seemed impressed that some were on their second Christmas dinner of the day, but less overwhelmed by mince pies.

Mery Christmas to all

Yes thanks Plum - and for finding me a reluctant taxi!
A great party, good company, good food, good fun!

I would have had some snaps, but foolishly lost my camera in the taxi on the way there (even before I'd had a drink!)

Looking forward to lunch next week - either day is OK for me at the moment.

Thanks very much Plum, for organising another great SE1 Xms dinner.

Really nice to see everyone.

...if you press it, they will come.

Thank you for organising the lovely meal last night. At the moment I can do either Thursday or Friday for lunch next week although Friday would be slightly better.

I had a lovely time--thanks again, Plum, for all your hard work. I've organized these types of dinners before and I know it's not easy! It was great to see everyone.

Someone had Christmas pudding without ordering it, which meant he or she ended up with my serving. Whoever you are, thank you--I could NEVER have eaten it! I had to roll myself home as it was.
