Depending on your circumstances instead of telling the HA you want to sell, tell them you want to buy out the rest of your share and agree a price. Then put your property on the market and aim to exchange contracts on the same day just as any other chain. So your buyer buys outright from you on the same day you buy outright from the HA.
Get advice though, I doubt it's for the fainthearted.
