Want to rent in SE1

Hi there, I'm currently trawling through the estate agents and I'm looking to rent a modest 2 bedroom flat in SE1 or the surrounding areas. Do any of you good people have a recommendation for a decent estate agent? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Decent estate agent is an oxymoron.

We have used both Field and Son's and Atkinson Macleod,both were friendly and helpful, we found it was best to be quite specific.Black Katz on the Borough High street seemed to have some cheaper options and were quick to follow up calls, again we had to be specific about area/transport/things we would not be willing to accept.

Thanks for your help - what do you guys reckon is the average for a 2 bed long-term let? I'm doing my homework with the estate agents, but I always think it helps to get the opinion of a local! Cheers

Winkworth ayt kennington cross could be worth talking to - there are a few other agenst down there, but Ws seemed the nicest to me (but what do I know).

By the way - the lettings agenst on Tooley street near to the Wetherspoons pub - changed its name a while ago, not long after there was lots of criticism of them on this site (and I'm not saying they changed because of that) - was this a total change or just a cosmetic one?

Please don't use black-katz. i rented my property through them and they are truley uselss! anyone else had that problem??
