Hi there
My parents have just bought a house in the West Country with the hope of my father commuting to London 2 or 3 days week and working from home the other days.
He has discovered that a season ticket on the train will cost him 6,600 and now he's wondering if it might be cheaper/easier to rent a studio and have it as a crashpad here for a few nights a week.
His budget is 500 pcm. Does anyone know of anywhere locally with fairly good transport links for him to get to Victoria.
Personally I'd like him to get a studio in Metro Central Heights (where I live), but I don't know how much they go for.
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks
Sarah

Try a small ad in the Times.

There are plenty of people who have over-large houses in nice areas who might be happy to let out a room for just 2/3 nights a week and would not charge too much.

thanks- he doesn't want to share though- my mum will come with him sometimes.
If it's not feasible I guess he will have to stump up the train fare!
