A big thanks to you all for the suggestions, they are very much appreciated and are being passed to the new manager for consideration. Decent pub food and a good supply of cider is a must! Do keep them coming, I will keep you posted when there is a definite starting date for the new manager.

And whilst we're on the cider point, I'd just say that one of the most available ways of getting draught cider is in a 15l manucube. We'd finish that in an evening if we had a social at Simon's. If someone could crack getting a regular supply of different ciders and perries to willing pubs, there could be something that would really work. A different, fresh, draught cider or perry every week or fortnight would be fantastic. The pub externally looks very nice-can't comment on inside as the babysitter is doing exams and I am therefore grounded!

It is nice to see the pub open weekends but the word needs to be spread round as we have got so used to it being shut that people will not realise it is an option
