I have eaten at Tas on and off since it opened a few years ago and I have always been pleased with the food and level of service etc, but I was very disappointed with the beer and service received during a meal yesterday afternoon. The first glass of lager ordered was clearly off and past it's best so I sent it back and ordered another glass with the actual bottle. As expected this bottle was past it's best before date, very cloudy and tasted disgusting. On complaining in a friedly, pleasant manner to the manageress, she just said that was what Turkish beer tasted like and only charged me for one of the 2 beers I didn't consume! I think the beer used to be Efes but this was a name I can't remember. Incidently I had a wonderful meal at Habi (new Lebanese of Borough High Street) during the week and the beer is good!
