Prince Charles to visit Southwark Cathedral

The Prince of Wales is visiting Southwark Cathedral on Friday to view the Millennium Buildings.

Prince Charles will arrive at 12 noon to make the visit which is at his own request. The Queen, who has told the Dean that she considers the cathedral to be beautiful, made her last visit on Millennium Eve before the new buildings had been completed. Prince Philip has called in more recently and toured the Long View exhibition.

After this week's visit the Prince will be going to Camberwell for lunch.
