Teenager seriously injured in Blackfriars Road stabbing

A 16-year-old boy is in a serious condition in an east London hospital after he was found stabbed near the junction of Blackfriars Road and Ufford Street on Wednesday night.

A police spokesman told the London SE1 website that the Met was called at about 9pm on Wednesday night to reports of a male having been assaulted near the junction of Blackfriars Road and Ufford Street.

When officers arrived they found a 16-year-old boy with stab wounds.

He was taken by ambulance to an east London hospital where his condition is described as serious.

Officers from Southwark Police are investigating the incident.

Part of Valentine Place was also sealed off by police on Wednesday night.

No arrests have been made so far.
